Yerger Family Dental opened Monday, May 4, 2020, following the stay at home order for the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a dental office, we have always had high standards for cleanliness and infection prevention in the workplace and are taking the health and wellness of our patients more serious than ever. While we have always taken pride in how we maintain our front office and operatory rooms, we are taking extra precautions when it comes to cleaning our common areas and surfaces that you may encounter during your visit.
Our main goal is to reduce traffic in and out of our office to greatly decrease exposure to potential pathogens for patients and staff. We have decided to operate with our doors locked during business hours and are encouraging patients to schedule appointments and make payments over the telephone in lieu of walking in. Patients are asked to remain in their cars until a staff member can come out to get them at their scheduled appointment time.
Dental treatment produces aerosols from the patient's mouth that can travel great distances, therefore, only patients receiving treatment are allowed to be in the back. We kindly ask that any additional family members wait in their car. We understand this can bring stress to parents or caregivers. If this is an issue we are happy to reschedule your treatment for a later date.
Your health and well being is at the forefront of our concerns. If you are considered high risk or medically compromised we encourage you to reschedule any elective treatment. We are happy to discuss any concerns you may have with your next visit and we are happy to accommodate any additional needs you may require.
